Students work together to create a series of 10 minute plays through a variety of writing exercises that examine scene and overall play structure, characters, conflict, events, dialogue, and action. Emphasis is placed on idea generation, creative risk taking, and a thorough process. In classes, playwrights will work on scenes and monologues from both classical and contemporary plays to provide context for their own original work.
