It's just what it sounds like: a theatrical Lab that allows students to immerse themselves in active experimentation and exploration... and then see where it takes them!
Led by a devoted and enthusiastic team of Teaching Artists, students in the Teen Co section of the Lab explore the art of devised theatre. Each class, students have the opportunity to bring their own ideas to the stage, as they work together to create an original piece of theatre. Through games, improv, and writing exercises, Teen Co actors joyfully and collaboratively craft and rehearse an entirely unique showcase to share with family, friends and fans. The showcase is held in PGT's Jonah Mac Theatre, and is a truly magical night, as we all get to see what has unfolded in the Lab throughout the season.
Theatre Lab is a progressive program - each level of the Lab provides unique and exciting challenges. As our students grow, we look forward to watching them move from PGT Kids to the Young Actors' Ensemble to the Teen Conservatory.
