About Theatre Lab
TheatreLab is steeped in the concept of exploration, experimentation, and the true ability to experience the practice of theatre. Students work with a team of teaching artists and examine a variety of disciplines in every class. The actors help shape the content of the class, based on their interest and on what they discover as the class progresses. Family, friends and fans see what has unfolded throughout the process in the TheatreLab showcase performance at the end of the season!

The new Theatre Lab is a progressive program. Each level of the Theatre Lab program provides unique and exciting challenges. As our students grow, we look forward to watching them move from Kids' Collective to the Young Actors' Ensemble to the Teen Conservatory. Theatre Lab Student Info
In addition, we love to see our actors move between all programs at PGT including our MainStage program. If you have questions about which program, or which level of Theatre Lab, is right for you (or your child) please do not hesitate to contact Jill at (914) 946-4433 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Theatre Lab philosophy
Steeped in the concept and practice of ensemble, the StudioStage program allows young actors to study the craft of acting at their own pace, even as we focus on creating a strong and vibrant group dynamic. While striving towards their unique and individual artistic goals, our students are surrounded by a supportive company of fellow artists and are guided by a professional and caring staff of teaching artists.
The staff of the Theatre Lab program creates a warm and nurturing, yet creatively charged, artistically challenging environment. Actors are encouraged to work beyond what comes easily and naturally to them, to take creative risks in their work and to always, above all else, respect the work, ideas and creative impulses of their peers.
